  • In 2014, Ullas ignited 1,47,435 students in the remote villages of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana through 'Touch The Soil' initiative. Through SUMMIT, Ullas delivered 5 weekend life skill programs to 6,166 students in the cities of Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.

  • Ullas also extended the SUMMIT footprint in the districts by delivering SUMMIT level 1 program to 4,474 Class 9 students in 12 districts of Tamilnadu through network partners. Ullas also recognized the academic excellence of 9,795 students across India through Scholarships. (Summit and Touch The Soil). Ullas facilitated Design for Change programme in two schools in Chennai
  • In 2013, Ullas Trust through its Touch the Soil (TTS) initiative, impacted the lives of 1,06,602 students living across the villages of Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. Ullas extended scholarships to 9,155 students (Summit and TTS) across India.
    In a first of its kind campaign called 'Lights On' conducted by Ullas during Diwali, 4.95 lakhs was raised towards scholarships for students,thanks to generous contributions from the Polaris associates across the country
  • In 2012, Ullas received Best corporate social responsibility practices - global award by Bluedart services. Ullas Trust touched over 25000 young lives through Touch the Soil initiative held in villages of Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
  • In 2011, Ullas Trust crossed 30000 ignited young minds. Entrance exams conducted across India and Chapter modules conducted in schools across all four locations (Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi). OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) initiative launched in Australia.
  • In 2010, Ullas Trust touched the 25,000 mark. Ullas Trust has awarded 25,000 scholarships to students in schools across Chennai and all districts of Tamil Nadu, seven districts of Andhra Pradesh including Hyderabad and cities of Mumbai and Delhi.
  • In 2009, Ullas was launched in Hyderabad. Ullas Trust awarded scholarships to 375 students across 33 schools in Hyderabad and Rangareddy District.
  • In 2008, His Excellency, Honorable Former President of India, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, participated in the 11th Annual Ullas Workshop and inspired young minds to realize the 'Power of Dreams'. Ullas Trust won the award for the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practice at the Social and Corporate Governance Awards 2008 presented by BSE, NASSCOM and Times Foundation.
  • In 2007, 40 deserving students from Killai, a Tsunami affected village in Chidambaram district has been awarded scholarships as part of our new initiative.
  • In 2006, Ullas spread its wings across the State, covering the District Head Quarters of Tamil Nadu. A total of 232 students were awarded the Ullas Scholarship across the 30 districts.
  • In 2005, Ullas Trust initiated the concept of District library membership concept among all the achievers selected for scholarship. Through this concept, all the students were sponsored memberships in their district libraries.
  • Ullas Trust commenced its activities in Mumbai in 2004 and Delhi in 2005.
  • Ullas Trust expanded the scope of Scholarships to encourage higher education. The recipients of the higher education scholarships work actively with the Ullas Trust, volunteering for the Ullas initiatives and thus acting as role models for the other students.
  • In 2004, Ullas Trust helped four schools in Chennai set up MATH LAB, with the help of an organization called HeyMath. The MATH LAB is aimed at removing the 'fear' of maths by making it a whole lot of fun and teaching Maths in an interactive way with interesting examples and computer animation.
  • In 2003, the Trust tied up with ICICI Bank and opened bank accounts for two thousand Ullas students. The students enjoyed withdrawing their scholarship amounts from ATMs of ICICI bank and in the process were educated on basic banking concepts.
